about

I wrote this song while reflecting on an experience I had where I got lost driving at night on my own while in northern Thailand. It was really great not to die but to instead have a magical encounter that would not have happened if I had played it safe.

Safety is important, but so is living your life and making memories - live a little, and take some risks... The key is to keep your wits and your intuition about you.

lyrics

Driving on the left side, lost as sh*t,
got no map, signal, or calling card
but I got my compass, I got my senses,
I got my true north

Darting from the shadows, to silhouettes
got no where to be, no one knows where I am
but I got my compass, I got my senses,
I got my true north

Unexpected friends surround the flames
the words are warm the air is still
we dream of past and future lives
its such relief I'd like to stay

The only constant is change
we cannot control
The only constant is life sweeping us away
by our tails
our invisible tales....
