Open 02:53
Unzip my heart or break it open this flame seeks dark corners and metaphors your words lick the edges of my ears and slip inside like patient lovers your subtleties are breathless mysteries against my skin love's earthly flame threatens to burn forests of doubt laying the earth with ashes for when we unzip our hearts or break them open

Driving on the left side, lost as sh*t, got no map, signal, or calling card but I got my compass, I got my senses, I got my true north Darting from the shadows, to silhouettes got no where to be, no one knows where I am but I got my compass, I got my senses, I got my true north Unexpected friends surround the flames the words are warm the air is still we dream of past and future lives its such relief I'd like to stay The only constant is change we cannot control The only constant is life sweeping us away by our tails our invisible tales....

Ebb and Flow 03:00
Its not exactly new, I've been here before looking for answers, bouncing off the moon I've had an inkling but the thought's removed Don't I know better by now? Surely I recognize the ebb and flow, the fear Its not exactly new, I've been here before swept up in heartbeats, a cyclical thought repeats letting myself wait like a drop of dew Don't I know better by now? Surely I recognize the ebb and flow, the fear Its not exactly new, I've been here before

What worlds collide and hide inside souls a thousand miles deep We leave behind who we were and weave our dreams to sleep Birds and butterflies frame each day as laughter blooms upon a face Love fills the valleys, melts the snow and leaves without a trace Unfathomable beauty lights a thousand stars It would take more than a century to deserve one from afar What worlds collide and hide inside souls a thousand miles deep We leave behind who we were and weave our dreams to sleep

I'm learning the nature of love it ought to be sent off like doves I sit here and soak in the stillness simplicity brings divine bliss I'm learning to see things as they are not constantly grasp for something more I sit here and wonder at the sky infinite beauty in front of my eyes I'm learning to love you from far away so much I can't bring myself to say I sit here and send you my light I see now, why you had to take flight I'm learning to recognize missed takes and gratitude that doesn't break I sit here and revel in the sun praying that its not the last one I'm learning to make space for what counts shedding decades of doubt I sit here and ask for your guidance life's a subtle, inter-woven dance

You are my sunshine, my only sunshine You make me happy when skies are grey You'll never know, how much I love you, Please don't take my sunshine away 'Cause when the sun shines in face it with a grin Open up your heart and let the sunshine in

about

This hand-made-with-love album is a fundraiser for two causes that I am passionate about: stopping the Kinder Morgan pipeline in British Columbia (Orca) and promoting education in Cambodia (Plumeria).

All proceeds from this album will be split 50/50 between:
1. Kwekwecnewtxw Watch House on Burnaby Mountain (www.protecttheinlet.ca)
2. Empowering Youth in Cambodia (www.eycambodia.org)

I went around the world in just under three months visiting Paris, Nantes, Angers, Amsterdam, Alkmaar, London, Kathmandu, and Phnom Penh. This is a collection of recordings that I've made, if you'd like to support me in my efforts to create, record and share music, please visit www.patreon.com/user?u=47057
